    What we're looking for:

    • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
    • 2-4 years of relevant experience with a strong focus on estimating for environmental remediation projects.
    • Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed and accurate project estimates, including comprehensive cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
    • Skilled in interpreting bid documents, specifications, and drawings to develop clear scopes of work and competitive pricing.
    • Strong proficiency in relevant software and technology, including Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Outlook, Dropbox, and smart devices used in the field and office.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills—able to prioritize multiple bids, meet tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
    • Willingness and ability to travel as needed to sites to support estimate development and pre-bid walkthroughs.

    What a typical day looks like:

    • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop accurate scopes of work.
    • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment.
    • Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes during the bid and change order process.
    • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and pricing breakdowns across all project phases.
    • Assist in the preparation of competitive bid packages and proposals.
    • Communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to clarify scope, pricing, and timeline details.
    • Participate in pre-bid site walks (as needed) to gather information critical to estimate accuracy.
    • Identify potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternatives.
    • Maintain organized estimate documentation and support handoff to operations teams once projects are awarded.
